Commonalities and distinctions

Some art series are evident, others themes develop over time, accumulating weight with age.  Sometimes these themes are woven into pan-themes for lack of a better term.  This painting, like some others, looks sideways at our social holidays.  Christmas and the fables of Rudolph the red nose reindeer, Halloween and scary black cats..

        Here, a page from history that is not part of our day to day lives.  Yet is commemorated none the less.  All, part of our lives through these public holidays of commemoration, even though they appear not. of our reality.  Seemingly repeated for our memories, as we no longer remember or know.
